CDSG is one of Myanmar’s most respected and prominent conglomerates, it can trace its roots back to a small trading business started in the 1960s. Since then, CDSG has grown into a diversified conglomerate operating in multiple sectors such as Food, Retail, Real Estate, Healthcare, Financial Services and Automotive with more than 9,000 employees. CDSG was selected as a global growth company by the World Economic Forum in May 2014.
U Soe Tint was born in Taunggyi, the capital of Shan State. He graduated from the University of Medicine, Mandalay in the year 1987. He practiced as a clinician for more than 7 years in Kachin State between 1989 and 1996, before he shifted his career into the business sector.
He has more than 20 years of working experience in the corporate sector which spans across real estate development, trading, construction, F&B, etc., where he held several key management and leadership positions.
He joined the Capital Diamond Star Group Limited (“CDSG”) as the Head of Capital Development Limited (“CDL”) since 2012. CDL was established in 2011 and has successfully developed since to support the CDSG’s growing internal demand for development services, as well as to contribute to Myanmar’s growth and modernization. CDL currently has an extensive list of successful projects.
His portfolio expands to the corporate compliance and procurement department. He is also the lead for Government regulatory affairs and Government Tender Projects at CDSG.
Currently, he is the Director of Capital Diamond Star Group as well as the Managing Director of Capital Development Limited.
U Than Tun was born in Yangon. In 1974, he completed his matriculation exam while majoring in economics, and in 1978, he earned his BA degree.
In 1998. U Than Tun started serving as the head of teaching at the Institute of Aviation Education, Department of Civil Aviation. Additionally, he served as the Minister of Transport and Communications from 2002 to 2016. He was also the Chief Executive Officer of Myanmar National Airlines from 2015 until 2021 (MNA).
Since January 2022, he has been working as a corporate advisor at Capital Diamond Star Group Limited (“CDSG”). Aside from that, he has been promoted as the CEO of the International Bulk Terminal Thilawa (IBTT) since September 2022. Both the CDSG-related activities and the port-related activities are being improved by U Than Tun.
Currently, he is the Director of Capital Diamond Star Group as well as the Chief Executive Officer of International Bulk Terminal Thilawa (IBTT).
U Sein Win was born in Thin Tein Yan Village, Sagaing Division, Ye-U Township. In 1969, he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) degree from Rangoon Institute of Technology (RIT) in 1975.
U Sein Win served as the principle at the Ministry of Energy – Myanmar Petrol Chemical Enterprise from 2010 to 2013.
Since September 2013, he has been working as the Managing Director of Capital Leasing Limited (CLL), a subsidiary of Capital Diamond Star Group Limited (“CDSG”). Then in 2017, he began working as the Managing Director of Capital Construction Limited (CCL).
U Sein Win is in charge of CDSG’s initiatives to enhance the corporate and procurement departments as well as the construction industry.
Currently, he is the Director of Capital Diamond Star Group, and he was the Managing Director of Capital Construction Limited.
U Khin Tun was born in Yangon. He graduated from Yangon University (BSc. in Chemistry) in 1984. He speaks well not only his mother language but also Chinese, Japanese, and English.
Starting from 2015 and now, he served as the Executive Committee member of The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Also, he was responsible in UMFCCI as a member of the Investment and Trade Promotion Committee, a member in the Domestic Business Development Committee, and a member in the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Working Committee.
He is a Vice Chairman of the Automotive Association of Myanmar (a member of the ASEAN Automotive Federation).
Currently, he is the Chairman of Capital Automotive Ltd and Capital Motors. And also Managing Director of Premier Automotive Ltd. And then he is a member of Capital Diamond Star Group.
Currently, he is the Director of Capital Diamond Star Group as well as the Chairman of Capital Automotive Limited and Managing Director of Premier Automotive Limited.
Daw Khin Mar Myint was born in Yangon in 1972. In 1999, she graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from the Institute of Economics Yangon. She also achieved Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from Win Thin & Associates in 2001.
After that, she worked as the Resident Manager of a Travel & Tour Company in Pin Daya.
In 2005, She joined Capital Diamond Star Group and has more than 17 years of working experience, especially in the financial sector, managing corporate taxes, treasury, and account payable.
Currently, she is working as the Director and Chief Financial Officer of Capital Diamond Star Group.

U Yan Paing Soe Oo was born in Yangon, and obtained his bachelor’s degree in the United States. After spending several years working overseas, he returned to Myanmar a decade ago with a clear ambition to do business in Myanmar. He was in charge of Business Management and Development during earlier years at Capital Diamond Star Group (CDSG), one of the largest conglomerates in Myanmar. Presently he holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Capital Taiyo Life Insurance (CTLI) while simultaneously serving as Group Chief Commercial Officer at Capital Diamond Star Group.
U Nay Linn Phyo is a Retail leader with profound and broad expertise, equipped with extensive experience within multi formats retail management. He was born in Mawlamyine, the capital of Mon State. He graduated with Industrial Chemistry from Dagon University in 2004, and also held Professional Certificate in Management from Open University UK, Retail management, and other retail relevant qualification from various institutes in the UK.
He has more than 15 years of working experience in the corporate retail sector which spans between small and large formats including Omni channel retailers in the UK such as John Lewis & Co, Marks & Spencer, and the Co-operative. He joined CDSG in 2020 and currently serves as the CEO of Capital Retail Limited, Grab & Go Convenience Limited, Wellington Pharmacy and Co-CEO of Citizens Pay. At CDSG, he also hold the position of Group Chief Strategy Officer. In addition, he is also serving as the CEC member of the Myanmar Retailer’s Association.
U Htet Oo Hlaing is currently the Senior Manager of the Group Strategy & Business Development Department for the Capital Diamond Star Group (CDSG).
In this role, he is responsible for the shaping and implementation of business strategies to ensure the sustained growth and success of the CDSG Group and its multifaceted Business Units across the short, medium to long-term horizons. Beyond strategy, he also manages the CDSG Group’s pivotal corporate development and transformation projects.
U Htet Oo Hlaing was born in Myeik, Tanintharyi Region of southern Myanmar. He is an alumnus of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics with a minor in Film, Television, and Digital Media. During his time at UCLA, he was also dedicated to creating social impact, contributing to a range of regional and local research, development, and education projects through his affiliations in the Global Development Lab, Burmese Student Association, and the Global Education Collaborative.
Before his return to Myanmar in 2020, he worked as a Technology Consultant at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He had other prior professional experiences in corporate finance, risk assurance, and digital marketing.
Daw Su Myat Thu has a diverse background with experience in various fields. She was born in Tachileik, Shan State, and graduated from the University of Foreign Languages with a major in Chinese in 2010. She also earned a Diploma in English Proficiency from The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization and a Diploma in Accounting.
Before joining the Capital Diamond Star Group Limited, Daw Su Myat Thu spent three years in the hospitality and tourism sector. Additionally, she worked for a year with a recruitment firm, gaining experience in these industries.
She became a part of the Capital Diamond Star Group Limited in September 2015 and has accumulated more than eight years of experience in the field of Human Resources. As of now, she holds the position of Head of Group Human Resources within the company. Her extensive experience in the Human Resources field showcases her expertise and contributions to the organization’s workforce management and development.
Miss Gwyneth Gabriel was born in Ipoh, Malaysia, and holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Leeds and a Master’s in International Relations from the University of Nottingham. She is also certified in General Data Protection Regulation within the European Union. Before joining CDSG, she spent 4 years in the telecommunication industry both in Malaysia and Myanmar, and 2 years in the oil and gas industry. Her experience is concentrated within the Southeast Asian region as an in-house counsel. Gwyneth joined CDSG in 2020 and is currently the Head of Group Legal and Corporate Secretary. She currently manages all legal and company secretarial matters by ensuring compliance and securing commercial-friendly engagements while mitigating risks.
U Nay Myo Tun is the Head of Group Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance of CDSG Group. U Nay Myo Tun was born in Yangon, Myanmar. He holds the Bachelor of Science in Physics with Honors from the University of Yangon in the year of 2002 and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting with Honors from Oxford Brookes University, UK in 2010. Currently, he is a full member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK, and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).
He has more than 11 years of working experience in Auditing (External and Internal Audit), Business risks, and Financial Reporting in Singapore. He performed the leading and management role in providing audit and assurance services to Singapore Companies and Multinational Companies from US and Japan with different industries including Trading, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Automotive, Financial Services, Insurance, and Investment Holding.
He joined the Capital Diamond Star Group in 2021 and plays a vital role in strengthening the CDSG Group’s internal control system, risk management system, and compliance function. He extended his leading role in the development of sound policy and procedures across the business units and corporate functions. His solid technical skill, knowledge, and experiences added value to the CDSG Group.
Daw Chaw Kalayar Aye was born in Mawlamyine, the capital of Mon State. She graduated from the University of Economics with a Bachelor of Commerce. She also achieved CPA and DBL. She joined Capital Diamond Star Group in 2003 and currently works as an advisor to Wheat Flour, Agribusiness & Branded Consumer Foods. She has over 23 years of experience in various industries including 17 years in FMCG, working in Singapore and Myanmar.
Daw Thinn Thinn Soe was born in Yangon, the largest city and the commercial center of Myanmar. She graduated from the University of Yangon (Business Management) in 2004 and continued her post graduate studies as a Chartered Certified Accountant with ACCA and CPA (Singapore).
She has more than 10 years of diverse commercial experience in various sectors including manufacturing, retail and trading. In 2016, she joined Lluvia Limited, a subsidiary of Capital Diamond Star Group, as Finance Manager, working under the division of Wheat Flour Business Unit. She currently serves as CEO of the Wheat Flour Business Unit and has also been appointed as an Executive Committee Member of UMFCCI and Secretary General of Myanmar Wheat Association.
Daw Kalayar Yee Mon was born in Yangon, Myanmar. She graduated from the Yangon University of Economics with a Bachelor of Commerce. She also achieved FCCA (UK), CPA Singapore, CPA Australia, and a Master of Business in ERP Systems from Victoria University, Melbourne.
She has over 19 years of experience in various industries including 11 years in FMCG, working in Singapore and Myanmar. Her core strengths in presenting practical business solutions to accounting, internal control, and risk management issues, managing cash flow & putting processes in place bring development in branded consumer foods division. Currently, she has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, and now she is leading, managing, and developing the overall performance of the Branded Consumer Foods Business unit’s current and future product portfolio. Moreover, she has been appointed as an Executive Committee Member of Myanmar Food Processors and Exporters Association (MFPEA).
Graduated from IIT India in 1987 in Biochemical Engineering and a further degree in Engineering from Australia and a diploma in Management. Worked for the Pharmaceutical company Pfizer in India, Australia, and China. Thereafter worked for Associated British Foods, a UK MNC in Sydney, Australia, and Harbin & Guangdong in China and Vietnam for over 12 Years starting as Operations Director and being promoted to General Director of the business. Later worked for a few years in Felda Australia and Dubai before Joining CDSG Group in 2014 as CEO for JDS. In May’2022 appointed as CEO for Sar Taw Kal Noodle while continuing as Vice Chairman for JDS company.
Daw Hnin Hnin Khaing was born in Pyawbwe of Yamethin District in Mandalay region of Myanmar. She graduated from Yangon Institute of Economic with Bachelor of Commerce and continued her education to achieve a full CPA (Certified Public Accountant) from Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accountant (MICPA).
She has more than 20 years of experience in the Corporate Sector, starting her career as a Chief Accountant in trading business.
She has been with CDSG group for over 12 years, where she took various Finance positions leading up to the DGM for Finance and Supply chain. Recently she has been promoted as the Chief Executive Officer of entire JDS Co., Ltd. (HealthCare Business Unit of CDSG) where she has the mandate to lead this organization to its next phase of growth and integration with Myanmar economy.
She has the challenging responsibility to cooperate with Pharma manufacturing companies from different corners of Asia, deal with multiple clients, currencies & Regulatory affairs.
Daw Tin Soe Thu is the Chief Executive Officer at, Agribusiness Input Marketing, Aventine Ltd (A member of CDSG).
She was born in Yangon, Myanmar. She graduated from the University of Yangon and earned a Master of Research in Engineering Physics in the year of 2005. She has 18 years of working experience in both the Manufacturing and trading sectors.
She has joined the Capital Diamond Star Group Limited (CDSG) as Senior Finance Manager since 2018.
Before joining CDSG in 2018, she has been working in the trading sector in Yangon for 8 years and in the manufacturing sector in Singapore for 10 years.
She became promoted as Vice President of Operations in Agribusiness on 1st Oct 2020. She leads the agribusiness’s operations with full responsibility for increasing development and expansion efforts into high growth.
She was promoted again to Head of the Business Unit on 1st October 2021. She leads branding, sales, marketing, and operations and managed the company’s growth and development pipeline.
Daw Myintzu Zaw is a passionate and dedicated leader who puts every effort into her ability to develop supply chain management solutions for the betterment of the organization.
She was born in Yangon and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Yangon University. Additionally, she also got her MBA from the Yangon Institute of Economics in 2003.

Daw Thwe Thwe Moe was born in Yangon and graduated from Yangon University with a Bachelor of Science (Industrial Chemistry) and a Diploma in Food Technology.
She has joined the Capital Diamond Star Group (CDSG) and has more than 23 years of work experience in the fields of Quality control and Quality insurance manager, factory manager, Head of Manufacturing in wheat flour milling, and then Head of Facilities Management and R&D where she held several key management and leadership position. She is in the position of senior vice president in Facilities management and R&D.
She aims for developing effective processes to ensure the manufacturability of products while maintaining quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Daw Thit Thit Han holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Yangon Institutes of Economics, and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK. Also, she is holding a Master of Business Administration from the University of Sunderland, UK. Moreover, she completed Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies and Leadership from TMC Academy (Singapore), a Diploma in Banking from ABE, UK, and Diploma in Business Law, from Yangon University.
Currently, she is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK, and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).
Prior joining to CDSG, she performed well in leading and management roles under Real Estate Industry for over 15 years locally and abroad with extensive experiences, especially in Business and Finance. She is enthusiastic to participate in the development of Real Estate Industries in Myanmar. Currently, she is working as the Head of the Business Unit.
